Spring sprung

Had dinner at a charming - if huge - barn in Great Tey last evening, with Richard Starnes, who turns out to be a loose head prop from Kentucky?! That was after he gave a very interesting cyberterrorism talk - which also turns out to demonstrate DOS and other hacker tools very well. I'll be supervising dissertations this summer based on some of this.
Lorna confirmed that Essex want me to teach next January - data protection and broadcasting. That gets me up to speed. In contrast, Monroe has not invited me to repeat my acclaimed summer school lecture - I wonder what his agenda is?
Also Colin Blackman confirmed that the seminar papers can be edited into a special issue of info.
Trying to get some bids together - makes me think that joining Rand might be better than the well-meaning shamateurism of academic consulting!
Hebrides trip continues to be planned by Greg - 2 more weeks and some fresh sea air:)
